Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, New Jersey, is a coeducational day school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Located in Somerset, the school enrolls students from a diverse geographic, economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds. The metropolitan area of Central New Jersey, nearby Rutgers University, and accessibility to New York City offer students additional educational and cultural experiences. The School provides bus and van services to thirty nine communities.

Twenty advanced placement courses are available in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Calculus, English Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, European History, French, U.S. Government, Music Theory, Physics, Psychology, U.S. History, Spanish, Economics and Statistics.

"In 2008-09, Rutgers Preparatory School enrolled 702 students. There are 181 Lower School students (grades PK3 - 4), 188 in the Middle School (grades 5-8), and 333 in the Upper School (grades 9-12). Students come from more then eighty communities in Central New Jersey."
