Mysteries are not just for fictional books, they occur in everyday in life. A mystery that has occurred in my life that I have solved was trying to figure out what to get my dad for his birthday. In years past I was never able to find my dad the right gift for his birthday. In past years I have gotten him DVD's or CD's and he never seems to really like the gifts even though he tells me he does. This year I wanted his birthday to be different I wanted to actually find him a gift that he would like and enjoy. After arriving home from Arizona and I realize that my dadíŸÙs birthday was quickly approaching, I began searching for a gift.

Since the New York Giants (A.K.A the greatest team ever) won the Super Bowl this year, I thought that it would be a great idea to get him something signed by one of the players. I went to the sports memorabilia store in the mall hoping that they would have signed New York Giants Super Bowl picture signed by one of the players. I was in luck they had a picture of David Tyree's amazing catch that was signed by him and Eli Manning. I thought to myself that this would be the perfect gift to give to him. When I went up to the cash register to have it rung up I asked the cashier how much it would cost. The cashier told me that is would be a thousand dollars; I knew that I couldn't spend that much on a birthday gift considering I doníŸÙt have that much money to spend.

After figuring out that a signed picture was going to be too expensive to buy I had to find a new gift to get him, one that was more reasonable in price. On the way home from the sports memorabilia store I made a stop at Modell's to buy new batting gloves. As I was standing in line to buy the gloves I looked up at the wall of jerseys, and then it hit me. I could get my dad a New York Giants Super Bowl jersey. The reason that this is the perfect gift is because every time that my dad and I would go to a New York Giants game he always has to barrow one of mine. The Jersey fit my idea perfectly the jersey commemorated the giants Super Bowl wins and the price of the jersey was $37.50 plus tax. When I gave the gift to my dad he opened up the box and when he saw the jersey his face lit up with joy. I knew then that I had solved the mystery of finding the perfect gift for my dad.
