Where is my new jacket? I have no idea because I left it in my closet after I purchased it. The jacket was an Ed Hardy jacket that had a cost of $150. It was black and green and I had a whole outfit to accommodate it. I did not even get a chance to wear the jacket. I know I did not misplace it because after I withdrew it from the plastic bag, I immediately placed it in my closet. This occurred at about 9 pm because that is the time I got home from New York. When I woke up the next morning, I had my mind set on viewing my jacket again to admire its "fly" look. I apologize for going off topic, but for those who do not know, the term "fly" means fresh and good-looking. Ok, it is time to get back on topic. I looked in my closet and my Jacket was not on the hanger. I searched my closet and my jacket was neither on the floor nor the closet rack. I entered a state of confusion because I could have sworn I placed my new Ed Hardy jacket directly on a hanger in my closet. I searched all over my room but still, no jacket. Ultimately, since there was no possibility that I had not brought my new jacket into my house, the only logical explanation is that my jacket was moved by someone who was in my house.
The only people who were in my house at the time I went to sleep were my mother, my younger brother, and my older brother. As I sat down on my bed with my hand on my face, I began to think. Maybe my mom placed my jacket somewhere else because she is always moving things around in the house. I said to myself that she probably did move it. So I ran downstairs to meet my little brother playing video games. I asked him where our mother was and he said she had gone to work. I called her cell phone and luckily, she answered. I asked her if she had moved my jacket or if she had even seen it anywhere besides my closet, and she said no. I hung up the phone, still confused, and rummaged around in her bedroom and still, no jacket.
My next suspect was my younger brother, Christian. Christian is the type of person who likes to take things that are not his. He is known for taking my stuff without asking me for permission. I confronted him immediately. He said that he didníŸÙt even know that I bought the jacket, let alone any jacket. I stared at him with an angry look. He told me that if he took my jacket from me then he would have told me when I asked him. I believed him because he usually tells me that he took something from me if I ask him for it. Now, there is only one possible suspect left; my older brother.
My older brother, Kwame, is an individual who always borrows my belongings but never returns it. I remember, about 4 years ago I received $100 for my birthday and Kwame begged me to lend him $40 and told me that he would pay me back the next day. I gave him the money with hesitation, and he never paid me back. He also usually tries to hustle me into trading something with him. I feel that since Kwame is older than me, he tries to take advantage of me. But, if he has money, he does not hesitate to give me some or purchase me something, and that is the reason why I did not suspect that it may be Kwame who stole my jacket at first. But, since he was the last suspect, I had to find out whether or not he took my new jacket. I asked Christian where Kwame was and Christian informed me that Kwame had gone out. So, I tried to call Kwame's cell phone but he did not pick up. I ran upstairs into his room and hunted for my jacket. I still did not find my jacket. I then decided to relax to clear my mind about the loss of my brand-new, expensive jacket that I never wore. At about 6 pm, Kwame came home. My eyes widened at the site I had witnessed. Kwame was standing there with my new jacket on! He had the nerve to ask, "Oh, were you looking for this?" referring to the jacket. I took my jacket back and said nothing because saying something to him about the situation would solve nothing, especially since he was bigger and stronger than me and would not hesitate to fight me.
