He lived a peaceful life because he had no responsibilities. Every morning at 6:30 am he would wake up, eat breakfast, go for a refreshing walk, and say hello to his best friend, Robert Hay. Every day was the same for Charles Hall, who lived in an apartment on the second floor right next to Robert. Charles was brilliant, even though he had his flaws. His sense of smell was not as perfect as those around him and he always took a long time to eat his meals. He was a quiet man, only talking back when prompted by a dangerous situation. However, he would be able to defend himself because he was in shape due to his running regimen and healthy diet.

His life was perfect, until one day, he went missing. My boss called me and told me the story. Charles walked into his apartment and was never seen again by any of his friends, who missed him dearly. He returned from a doctor's appointment at 5 pm Wednesday afternoon and was seen walking into his apartment by his friend Robert Hay. Worried when Charles did not call that night to confirm their dinner arrangements at Charles' apartment, Robert walked across the street to check on Charles. Robert rang the doorbell many times and called Charles' name, but there was no answer. The only one who knew where the key to Charles' apartment was located, Robert located the key on top of the door. After walking inside, Robert could not find Charles anywhere. Robert was scared. After grabbing a baseball bat, he made sure no one had broken into the apartment and taken Charles. Though Robert did not hear any screaming, he wanted to be safe.

That was the time when Robert decided to call our detective agency to report his friend's disappearance.
