» The school is located on 35 acres and includes:
» A 6500 square foot library with a story room, 32,000 volumes and various online resources
» 6 Science labs
» 4 Computer Labs, wireless connectivity, 170 desktops, 160 laptops, smartboards and LCD projectors
» A photography lab, 12 pottery wheels and 2 kilns
» A dedicated music building, with band, choir and orchestra rooms

» Multiple athletic fields, including a turf soccer/lacrosse field, a turf  baseball infield and a croquet court

Enrollment: Nearly 700 students from grades Pre-Kindergarten - 12, including students from 87 zip codes in the state of New Jersey.

Faculty: Rutgers Preparatory School has a teaching faculty of 105 with a student/faculty ratio of 7:1.

Community Service: Community Service is an integral part of a Rutgers Prep education and plays an important role in shaping the character of our students. Children in every division, Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, give back to the community in hundreds of ways. The youngest students have participated in a Multiple Sclerosis Dance-a-thon, a Jump Rope for Heart, backpack drives, food and clothing collections as well as joining with the Middle and Upper Schools in Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Alex's lemonade stands, beach clean up and much, much more. Our students and faculty fully appreciate the opportunities to serve both on and off campus.

Advanced Placement Courses: Rutgers Preparatory School offers 20 Advanced Placement Courses, including choices in Science, Calculus, World Languages, English, History, Psychology, Economics, Computer Science and Statistics.

Athletics: The school fields 33 sports teams with approximately 80 percent of our students participating in some form of organized athletics on the Middle School, junior varsity, or varsity level. The full-participation athletic program offers students the opportunity to play on sports teams from seventh through twelth grade.

Arts: A broad arts program is offered with courses in visual arts, choral and instrumental music, and drama. Students participate in several performances each year.

Tuition Assistance: The school offers a need-based financial aid program designed to help enroll a talented, bright, socially, and economically diverse community of students who might otherwise be unable to attend RPS. The financial aid program offered students 2 million dollars in aid in the 09-10 school year.

Extended Day: Extended day hours are offered to children in grades PK-8. Before-school and after-school hours are provided.

Summer program: RPS offers academic and enrichment programs during the summer as well as a comprehensive sports camp program and recreation camp for all ages.

• Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten 8:20 - 2:40.
•Kindergarten - Grade 12 8:20 - 3:05.
