Students from India Visit Rutgers Prep to See Sustainability Programs

A group of 37 students and three teachers from Delhi Public School – Bopal Ahmedabad, part of DPS Society one of the largest institutions providing education at school level in India, will be visiting Rutgers Prep on Friday, May 4th after a tour of MX Solar in Somerset.  The students are traveling to five cities across Eastern and Southern US visiting schools as part of the school’s Global Leaders Journey - a program of GreenContributor.  

The group, led by Mrs. Vandana Joshi, Vice Principal, and Green School Drive leader Mrs. Sangeeta Srivastava will take a tour of Rutgers Prep’s campus to understand sustainability efforts undertaken by RPS around the campus and initiatives by its students.

GreenContributor is a Canadian based organization involved in providing real life opportunities for students across the world to collaborate on current environmental issues as well as on programs that are making a positive impact. Tours for students involve encountering environmental programs where they interact with experts, researchers, high-ranking delegates, professionals, leaders and decision makers.

The Journey will provide exposure to international students at various grades and cover themes for students who are looking at various career options including Science, Arts, Environment, Humanities, Political Science, Management, Engineering and Medicine.  Also, the students will be given the opportunity to present on the schools Green School Drive, their environmental projects and initiatives undertaken through GreenContributor, to the schools and communities in US.
