Rutgers Preparatory School is approaching a tremendous milestone: the 250th anniversary of the signing of the charter establishing Queens College and Queens College Grammar School by the Royal Governor of New Jersey by order of King George III on November 10, 1766.
We have plans to celebrate throughout 2016 with signature events on campus and off, to both reconnect friends and facilitate new introductions within the Rutgers Prep family. We will elevate traditional events during the Anniversary Year with creativity and deference to those who have made Rutgers Preparatory School excellent. We will create publications that reflect on our history as New Jersey's first independent school as well as honor the students, faculty and staff of today. And most importantly, we anticipate all of our plans will afford us the opportunity to expand our community by familiarizing new families and friends with the inspired education offered at Rutgers Prep.
If you want to help plan the celebrations, there is still time to join a committee! Return the 250th Interest Form to Susan Gantz, Director of Advancement.
