KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST 2011-2012
All items MUST be labeled with your child’s name.
For your convenience supplies will be available in the R.P.S. bookstore. We request that
the items conform to the specifications listed
o 1 LARGE backpack NAME TO BE PUT INSIDE – for your child’s safety initials only on the
outside
o 3 large boxes of aloe or lotion treated tissues
o 2 LARGE rolls paper towels
o 1 large beach towel and crib sized blanket packed inside a pillow protector with a zipper
o 2 boxes of 5 oz. kitchen paper cups
o 2 boxes of rectangular baby wipes
o 1 STURDY, CHILD-SIZED raincoat or poncho. This will be left in school. It should be able to fit on top of a coat or sweater.
o 1 COMPLETE CHANGE OF SEASONAL CLOTHES including socks, underwear, pants, shirt, packed inside a box labeled with your child’s name. Clothing should also be labeled. Include a plastic bag for transporting wet clothing home for laundering. Should fit into the hallway cubby space.
o 1 child sized 5” ambidextrous scissor
o 1 box EACH 8 CLASSIC COLORS MARKERS – BROAD TIP AND THIN TIP
o 3 black permanent markers (FINE POINT)
o 1 four oz. plastic bottle of Quick Drying Tacky Glue – RECOMMENDED BRAND – SCOTCH – available at craft stores
o 1-box regular size #2 lead pencils – please sharpen and put back into the box.
o 1 hand eraser
o 1 box each of slider bags – quart and gallon
o 1 box snack sized bags
o 1 hard plastic supply box - 8 x 5 x 2”

Each student in first grade will need the supplies listed below. All items, if possible, should be brought to school on the first day. Thank you.

1 1 inch white round ring vinyl binder w/ label sleeves
1 box # 2 pencils
1 pair of blunt end scissors
2 large glue sticks
1 set of fine markers (8 or 12 pack)
1 box of colored pencils (12 or 24 pack)
1 hand eraser
1 or 2 large box(es) of tissues
1 roll of paper towels
1 or 2 Package(s) of baby wipes
1 small vinyl or soft material pencil case (type normally put in 3 ring binder is fine)
1 rain poncho (in a pouch or a zip-loc plastic bag) or a small
children’s umbrella to be left at school in case of unexpected
inclement weather
1 A “Complete Change of Clothes” to be left at school for
emergencies (shirt and pants, underwear, socks, and a sweater) –
These can be sent to school in a shoebox or a box small enough
to fit into the cubbies.
Please note consumable materials (e.g. pencils, markers, colored pencils,etc.) will be shared amongst all students.
2011-2012 - Second Grade Supply List
- 1 three-ring hard covered binder with pockets – 1 inch thick
- 1 spacemaker supply box that is approximately 8”x5”. It MUST fit in your desk with all of your books and should contain:
*1 set of crayons [24 pack]
*1 pair of scissors
*1 liquid white school glue
*1 eraser
*1 large glue stick
*1 box of colored pencils preferably Crayola Twistables

- 3 boxes of sharpened Ticonderoga pencils to be used among the students
- 3 folders [2 pocket style – no Trapper Keepers please!]
- 1 Grade 2 Skip-A-Line Composition Book (available at the RPS bookstore)

- 200 - Lined 3x5 index cards (100 white + 100 yellow)
*Please be sure to keep a supply at home of pencils, erasers and glue sticks so your supply box can be replenished throughout the school year.*

4th Grade Supply List 2011-2012 Each student in Grade 4 will need the items listed below. You may purchase them on your own or you can get them at the RPS bookstore during the first week of school. • Several #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils, please!) • One black marble composition notebook • One colored cover marble composition notebooks-any color will do • Two pair of scissors, labeled with name • One set of magic markers • Three glue sticks and one small container of glue • Five pocket portfolios with binder holes • One box of crayons • One average sized box of tissues • One 12" ruler, 1 side customary and 1 side metric, with holes for placement in binder • One big three-ring binder (with or without a zipper) or a Trapper Keeper • 3-holed filler paper -wide-ruled • One 3 hole pencil case for inside binder • One box of colored pencils • Several pens; blue, black, and red ink. • One 8 1/2 X 11" single subject, wide rule, spiral notebook, with 3 holes • Separate pocket folder for Foreign Language *One box plastic spoons or forks • Read The Mouse and The Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary for the first day of school. |
