Middle School List of Supplies 2010-2011

All students in the Middle School are required to have the Rutgers Prep Middle School Agenda, which must be purchased through the bookstore.  Following is a list of specific supplies necessary at each grade level.  Students are expected to have the necessary materials to take notes and complete class assignments beginning on the first day of school.  For your convenience, the bookstore will carry the items on the list.

GRADE 5
General: box of pens ((black), box of pencils, portable pencil sharpener,  box of red pencils, glue stick, polypropylene expansion envelope (9X12), ruler (metric one side; English one side), binder dividers, one pencil box or soft pencil case in addition to one in your binder, 9X12 quality spiral bound sketching pad (1), 6 marble composition books, 1 binder (1-1/2 inch), 500 sheets lined paper for binder and home, 7 folders with pockets, 1 RPS folder,  lined 3X5 index cards (white), 1 box colored pencils, box of thin markers Spanish: 1 pocket folder, 1 spiral notebook w/perforated edges, pencils, red pens Art: 9X12 Sketch Pad, pencil

GRADE 6
General: pens, pencils, colored pencils, binder or trapper, loose leaf paper, 1 GB flashdrive
English:  1 marble notebook,1 folder or 1 section of binder for handouts
History:  1 three ring binder, subject dividers, 1 large notebook, posterboards, folder
Math: 1 notebook, folder, glue stick
Science: 2 D size batteries, 1” 3-ring binder, dividers
Spanish:  Spanish/English dictionary, 3 inch 3-ring binder, dividers, 3-hole notebook and lined paper
Latin: marble notebook, folder
Computer: pocket folder
Choir: White RPS polo or rugby shirt
Library: 1 pocket portfolio, lined paper, pencil

GRADE 7
English: 1” three-ring binder for English only, looseleaf paper, dividers, highlighterHistory: 2 marble notebooks (100 pages), folder for handouts, 3-ring binder
PreAlgebra: 1 spiral notebook with inside folder
Science: 3 ring binder (at least 2”), dividers, lined paper, folder, calculator, erasable pens/pencils, 1 marble notebook
Spanish: Spanish/English dictionary, 3 inch 3-ring binder, dividers, 3-hole notebook and lined paper, glue stick, pens, pencils
Latin: 2 marble notebooks, 1” binder with dividers, pocket portfolio, pens, pencils 2-4 posterboards
Library: 1 pocket portfolio, lined paper, pencil
Values&Choices:  marble notebook, folder for handouts

GRADE 8
English: 1 marble notebook (100 pages), supply of lined paper, binder or folder for handouts (you may use a section of a binder), pens, pencils
History: 1 marble notebook (100 pages), folder for handouts
Algebra: ruler, pencils, spiral notebook, loose leaf paper, scientific calculator (w/fractions), blue pens, 2 pocket folders
Science: one set of colored markers or colored pencils in a pencil case that clips into 3-ring binder, 3 ring binder or part of one OR spiral notebook with pocket for handouts , index cards
Spanish: Spanish/English dictionary, 3 inch 3-ring binder, dividers, 3-hole notebook and lined paper, pens, pencils
