Jeans: Past and Present

Jeans are one of the most durable pair of pants. Everyone; girls, boys, women, men, and even babies wear them! They come in many different colors, but the most popular color is blue. A lot of times jeans are used for dirty work or fashion. They come in many different styles such as flare, boot-cut, or straight leg. They also range in price from about $10 to over $1000! In this essay I will talk about the invention of jeans and the current events dealing with them.

Levi Strauss, a German immigrant, invented jeans. He originally came to the San Francisco searching for gold-diggers to sell canvas tents too. Many people came to him asking for pants, and not tents. They wanted durable pants so they could go digging for gold. So, instead of using the canvas to make tents, he decided to make a pair of pants called jeans, and to start a company called Levis.

Today, Levi's is one of the leading brands in Jeans. However, the famous jeans company is starting to go down. An article from News
