MONOPOLY

Monopoly is a game that has existed since 1933. Originally the pieces were copies from Charles Darrow's wife. At abut 1937 Monopoly finally started to have metal pieces, but in 1943 thanks to World War 2 their was a metal shortage, causing the pieces going back to wooden pieces. Charles wanting everybody to play monopoly even invented a Braille edition to the vision impaired (blind). In 1978 Monopoly became such a popular game that Neiman Marcus even offered an all chocolate edition for $600.

After the first month on the shelf, monopoly was already on the most wanted board game in the country. Once Charles Darrow got Monopoly onto the market everybody wanted. Just the thought of getting rich and buying Property and making everybody else pay was a great slogan, so everybody wanted a piece of the action, even over the sea in Europe they where making editions in their own language. They made the game in French, German, Italian, and even Spanish. So of course Charles was now rolling in the money from the sales of this one of a kind game.
