Board of Trustees Statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The Board of Trustees at Rutgers Preparatory School is committed to prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in our decision-making processes and across a multitude of areas.  These include, but are not limited to, racialized, gendered, and ethnic differences.  We work to support DEI&B as an integral component of the vision and mission of the School.  We recognize an inherent tension between our aspirations on the one hand, and a social, political, and economic environment that may not always support our work on the other.  As such, we are committed to a process of self-reflexive, open dialogue to ensure our actions match our commitment.  Our stance on DEI&B takes confidence in the knowledge that it is consistent with the values that have historically made RPS a strong institution of academic, intellectual, and global learning promoting diversity since its inception as the first independent school in the state of New Jersey.
