Testing Update - November 19th, 2020

At Rutgers Preparatory School, our highest priority is the health and safety of students and families. Looking ahead to the 2021-2022 academic year, Rutgers Prep has decided that the submission of standardized test scores will be optional for our applicants.

If your child has already signed up for, or taken, a test, you may submit the results if you choose. The absence of current standardized test results will not affect your child’s Admission evaluation.

Our Middle and Upper School Admission teams will evaluate applicant files, for students entering Grade 6 through Grade 12, based on in-person or virtual interviews, teacher recommendations, report cards, previous standardized test results and any related information submitted.

Our Lower School Admission team will evaluate applicant files, for students entering PreK through Grade Five, based on in-person or virtual interviews, report cards (where applicable) and a teacher recommendation. In addition, Lower School applicants will be assessed, either in person or virtually, by a member of our faculty. We will notify you regarding the process and will arrange for a time that is convenient for your family.

*Our Test Optional policy is in effect for 2021-2022 applicants.
