How to Apply
Rutgers Prep operates on a rolling admission basis. Candidates should file applications early in the year in order to be given full consideration for the upcoming academic year. For candidates who have completed the admission process, admission decisions will be sent as early as mid-February.
Interview and Campus Visit
Please schedule an appointment with the Admission Office for an interview and campus visit. (732) 545-5600 ext. 261, or firstname.lastname@example.org. After the visit, candidates for second grade and above will schedule a full day visit at Rutgers Prep. 6th through 12th Grade
The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is requested. We will accept the ISEE (Grades 6-12) and the PSAT (Grades 10 and up). Rutgers Prep administers the SSAT test seven times during the school year. The SSAT testing fee is paid directly to SSAT. To register for the SSAT, please visit their website at www.ssat.org. The testing dates for SSAT (6202 - School Code) are as follows:
For PK through Grade 4, one recommendation from the primary teacher is required. For Grades 5-12, we require recommendations from at least two teachers; one from a math teacher; the other from an English or history teacher. Teacher recommendation forms are enclosed with the application packet or can be found in the links below.
Transcript Request Form (enclosed with application packet)
A signed Transcript Request Form needs to be sent to your child's current school so that a complete transcript including grades and test scores may be released and sent directly to our Admission Office.
Once a student has been offered admission to Rutgers Prep, parents will be sent a formal acceptance letter, along with online enrollment materials including contract, registration, and payment instructions. Families will be expected to respond to an offer of admission within 30 days. Parents of students accepted after March 30 will be asked to respond within two weeks.
Please contact the Admission Office at (732) 545-5600, ext. 261 or email@example.com if you have any questions regarding the admission process.
