Boys Soccer

Team Philosophy
The Rutgers Prep boys soccer team believes that if you work hard every day in training, have a desire to compete with the best teams around, and sacrifice for the betterment of the team, success will follow.
The team aims to play an attractive, possession-style brand of soccer that is both fun to watch and fun to play in. Coach Laureti believes that paying attention to the little details is what separates the good teams from the great teams, and our team seeks to bring this mindset into their life both on and off the pitch.
The boys soccer team competes every season in multiple competitions, including the Somerset County Tournament, the NJISAA Prep B Tournament, and the NJSIAA State Tournament. The team also plays against some of the best public and private schools in the Skyland Conference during the regular season, which is regarded as one of the best soccer conferences in the state of New Jersey.
Rutgers Prep boys soccer has been honored with several players being named to All-Skyland Conference Teams, All-Somerset County Teams, as well as the All-State team. Several players have gone on to continue their academic and soccer careers at great universities such as William Paterson University, Temple University, Moravian College, and Eastern University.
