Girls Soccer

Team Philosophy

“We > Me” is a philosophy that we expect all members of the RPS Girls Soccer program to embrace. The WHOLE of anything is much greater than the sum of its parts. It is for this reason that we have a Rutgers Preparatory School Girls Soccer TEAM, rather than a collection of individuals. We ask individuals to work hard, to fully commit, and give of themselves for the good of the team. It is our belief that this constant pursuit of team excellence causes all of us to go far beyond our individual capabilities.

Personal responsibility, selflessness, passion, mental toughness, and a positive attitude are attributes we believe are necessary for success of the team and the individual. We expect everyone involved with RPS Girls Soccer Team to act and talk in a positive manner regarding players, parents, coaches, opponents, and game officials.

RPS girls soccer succeeds because we will not be out worked, out thought, or out “desired” by anyone or any team in any way. Hard work and determination are our trademarks! The final and most important ingredient that makes everything work is the fun and enjoyment created by our sense of family and togetherness. We may not win every game, but we will be the classiest coaches, players, and parents in every game we play.
