No. 1 Rutgers Prep girls soccer tops Holy Cross to win 5th-straight South, NPB title
Addison Halpern scored four goals and had an assist to lift Rutgers Prep, No. 1 in the NJ.com Top 20, to an 8-2 win over Holy Cross Prep in the South Jersey, Non-Public B final in Somerset.
It is the fifth-straight sectional title for Rutgers Prep, which will look to win the program’s third-straight state title when it faces DePaul in the Non-Public B final. The game will take place either next Wednesday or Thursday at Franklin High School.
Nyla Lopez had two goals and two assists for Rutgers Prep (22-0). Alexa Lee dished out three assists, while Ellie Robertson and Alyssa Manasse each scored in the win. Jordan Reigrod made seven saves.
