Architecture and Design Students Share Ideas for Upper School Office Makeover

Students in Mr. Laurion's Architecture and Design for Seniors class presented their concepts for a redesign of the Upper School office. The assignment isn't just a thought exercise, either. The office is actually slated for an overhaul, and Dr. Chodl, Mrs. Santowasso, and Mrs. Ryan sought out the input of our resident architecture experts for the project. With the list of requirements from those clients in mind, the students have been taking measurements of the office, creating detailed design drawings, and choosing aesthetically-pleasing colors, flooring, and furnishings to create two different designs for the space, all while keeping budget in mind. Everyone who stopped by the Architecture and Design Studio for the presentations, including the clients, themselves, walked away impressed by the designs and the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that went into them.
