Band Students Strike a Chord at the Spring Band Concert

Band Students Strike a Chord at the Spring Band Concert

Musicians from the Middle and Upper Schools took the stage last week for the Spring Band Concert in the Dining Commons.

It was a night of excellent performances, with ensembles from both divisions, including the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Saxophone Ensemble, and more, showcasing their hard work and talent. They played classics like "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "Copacabana" along with contemporary hits like "How Far I'll Go" and "We Know The Way" from the soundtrack of Moana.

The evening also included a ceremony to recognize seniors and an awards presentation to celebrate some of our standout musicians.

The Kyle Sieb Band Prize
Andrew Tian ’26

Donna and Mark Sieb established the prize in honor of their son Kyle and his wonderful experience with music and the band program at RPS.

The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award
James Mallari ’25

The Band Director’s Award
