Carly Tomfohrde ’24 Receives Girl Scouts Gold Award for Service Project
Last week, senior Carly Tomfohrde, a member of the Class of 2024, received a Gold Award from the Girl Scouts, the highest honor the organization gives to its members.
To earn the award, Girl Scouts must leverage the skills they've learned during their years of scouting to help address a problem in their community or create a lasting positive impact in the world.
A Girl Scout since kindergarten, Carly was recognized for a service project focused on improving teen mental health. She created an organization for local teens that focuses on community service and being active in the community. Carly also delivered presentations and led activities for local teens on yoga, fitness, cooking, and healthy eating.
Congratulations to Carly on her well-deserved achievement!
