First Grade Carves Out Time for Trip to Grounds for Sculpture

The students in Mrs. Corbin's first grade class recently spent a picture-perfect fall day taking in works of art at Grounds for Sculpture, a 42-acre museum, sculpture garden, and arboretum in Hamilton, NJ.

With over 300 outdoor sculptures and half a dozen indoor galleries, Grounds for Sculpture was the ideal place for our first graders to explore artwork from a variety of artists in preparation for making their own sculptures in art class with Ms. Albright.

In addition to all of the wonderful art they saw, our students were also very excited to come across peacocks strutting about the grounds and frogs and colorful koi swimming in ponds.

Thank you so much to the parents who joined us on the trip and made it all the more special!
