Rutgers Prep Celebrates Fun-Filled Family Day

Rutgers Prep Celebrates Fun-Filled Family Day

Family Day at Rutgers Prep was a delightful celebration with our Lower School families and our way of demonstrating just how much we appreciate them.

The day started with a delicious breakfast in the Dining Commons, compliments of the Parents' Association. Our guests made their way to Baldwin Hall to hear our Lower Schoolers perform a beautiful collection of songs led by Ms. Espinoza, Sra. Turk, and Sra. Arias, who helped the kids learn songs in Arabic, English, Hindi, Italian, and Spanish.

The students then took part in an energetic physical education show in the Upper Gym led by Ms. Applebaum, Mr. Epps, Mr. Lamb, Ms. Mulvey, and Mr. Tyree. They showed off their athletic talents (and worked up a good sweat!) as they navigated tricky obstacle courses, participated in relay races, and wowed the crowd with all they could do with the gym-class staple: the rainbow-colored parachute.

The festivities continued with a picnic on the Elm Farm lawn, where everyone enjoyed music courtesy of Mr. Ray, delicious treats like hot dogs, popcorn, and Italian ice, and a myriad of activities including sand art, face painting, and careening down a giant inflatable slide!

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success. We can't wait to do it again next year!
