Rutgers Prep Scholar-Athletes and Coach Honored by Skyland Conference

Rutgers Prep seniors Maddox Chu ’26 and Anushka Gubbala ’26 were named Skyland Conference Scholar-Athletes this spring.

Maddox and Anushka were honored at the Skyland Conference Scholar-Athletes luncheon on April 27 at Maggiano’s in Bridgewater. The annual awards recognize students who combine strong academics with athletic achievement and good citizenship.

At the same awards ceremony, Rutgers Prep girls soccer coach Jim Buchanan was named Skyland Conference Coach of the Year. The honor follows another standout season for the Argonauts, who have built one of the top girls soccer programs in the country with four straight state titles and a No. 1 national ranking.
