Rutgers Prep Students Take The Stage at 2025 Dance Concert

Earlier this month, students from the Middle and Upper Schools took the stage at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center for the 2025 RPS Dance Concert, with dancers from our four curricular dance courses—Explorations in Dance, Intermediate Dance, Advanced Dance, and Creative Movement—performing a wide range of original choreographed pieces.

This year’s concert featured 16 dances over two acts, with many of the works choreographed by the students themselves or developed collaboratively with RPS Dance teacher Mr. Johsian Martinez and guest choreographer Ms. Zoë Rose. The show included an eclectic mix of dance styles with music spanning artists such as Michael Jackson, Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and Zendaya. The night ended with all four groups, including our sixth-grade dancers, getting in one last dance.

Special recognition goes to seniors Cory Lucid ’25 and Amalia Tsampalis ’25, who were in the spotlight for amazing solo performances.
