Singing the Praises of the Spring Choral Concert

Singing the Praises of the Spring Choral Concert

We can't help but sing the praises of all the students who performed in our recent Spring Choral Concert at Rutgers University's Voorhees Chapel on April 30. The evening showcased the impressive talents of our Middle and Upper School choirs, ensembles, and singing groups and was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all in attendance. Our singers performed an eclectic mix of music, ranging from pieces dating back centuries to modern pop hits and memorable movie scores.

Among the standout moments of the night were the presentations of two prestigious awards to senior members of the choir. Daniel Espinosa ’24 received the National School Choral Award, one of the highest honors a choral student can achieve at Rutgers Prep. This award is a testament to his exceptional dedication and musical achievement within the choral program. Jordyn Sutton ’24 was honored with the Director’s Award, recognizing her outstanding dedication and musical contributions to the choir.

The event would, of course, not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our choir directors, Jeron Stephens and Anna Espinoza. We extend our gratitude to them and to everyone whose efforts behind the scenes ensured the concert was a success.

Each year, the Spring Choral Concert is a highlight of our School’s calendar, and this year was certainly no exception!
