Sixth Graders Investigate The World Around Them with Science Projects
Our 6th Grade scientists shared the results of their yearlong independent projects during a gallery walk in Baldwin Hall this morning. As part of the Investigating the World Around Us core course with Ms. Davey, each student designed and ran an experiment, learning the scientific method in a very hands-on way.
Their projects covered a wide range of topics, from physics and biology to food science. Some students explored how temperature affects plant growth or whether salt water helps eggs float more easily than tap water. Others tested which liquid—Coke or water—helps a plant grow better, or how quickly different methods can cool soda. No matter the topic, their work showed evidence of curious students with thoughtful questions.
Great job, everyone!
