The Fourth Grade Has "Rocking" Good Time at Rutgers Geology Museum

In science class, our fourth graders have been studying rocks and minerals. What better way to get some hands-on learning on the subject than a trip to the Rutgers Geology Museum? During their visit this week, the students learned so many new things about minerals, like how many we use in our daily life, even in our toothpaste! They were given five minerals that they were able to identify by looking at their physical characteristics, just like real geologists! The visit ended with a scavenger hunt around the museum and a closer look at the other exhibits, including a mastodon named "Manny!” Let's just say that they had a... "rocking" good time!
