After School Program
The caring atmosphere of Rutgers Preparatory School is extended to the hours after school from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at no cost to parents. Our After School Program for students in grades Pre-K through 8 meets the highest quality standards in staff qualifications and we provide students with an inclusive program that offers parents peace of mind knowing that their child is safe, comfortable, and engaged in worthwhile activities during their time with us.
The Lower School After School Program offers a safe, enriching, quality program, ideal for children of working parents in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
Planned activities include arts and crafts, inside and outside free play, computer lab time, and occasional Friday movies. Supervised homework will also take place each week.
We also offer a variety of “After School Clubs” throughout our school year. Some recent club offerings have included Chess, Young Authors, LEGO Robotics, and Young Diplomats. Teacher run clubs are offered at no charge. Outside offerings like Chess will have a charge determined by the individual group. After School Clubs are offered to all of our Lower School students in Grades Pre-K though 5.
Middle School ASP Clubs
The program offers different clubs throughout the school year. Typically, the clubs run once a week for six weeks from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. There is no additional fee for participating in many of these clubs. In recent years, clubs offered through the After School Program have included: Marathon Training, Yoga Club, Games Club, Stamping Club, Dancing Club, Coding Club, Book Club, Math Club, and Chess Club.
