September 2022

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA), I would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! As a brief introduction of myself, I am mom to boy/girl twins, Luke and Rebecca class of 2029. My family has been part of the Rutgers Preparatory School (RPS) community since Junior Kindergarten (JK). This is my second year as the PA president and I’m excited to be involved at this level.

A bit about the PA . . . as a parent or guardian of a RPS student, you are automatically a member of the PA! The PA offers and promotes social interaction and networking among RPS families, as well as several opportunities to enhance our children’s experiences through enrichment and extracurricular activities. Collectively, we strive to help families feel connected to the RPS community.

The PA Board includes Vice Presidents (VP) for each school division (i.e. Lower School, Middle School and Upper School) and a Grade Representative for each individual grade. New this year, we have “coVP” positions for each division and a “co-Secretary” position. The description for these roles are found on the ArgoNet PA Resource page. Please consider volunteering! There are openings for Grade Representatives and some board positions, which can also be viewed on the ArgoNet PA Resource page. I’m happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the PA.

All parents and guardians are welcomed and encouraged to attend our five (5) scheduled PA meetings held throughout the school year. The PA meetings will be held virtually via Zoom and on campus in the Holliday Conference room, 8-9am with beverages and a snack. The meeting dates are on ArgoNet under  Resource Boards - RPS Parents’ Association and listed here for convenience, September 20,2022;  November 8, 2022; January 10, 2023; March 28, 2023; May 9, 2023.

On behalf of the PA Board, we look forward to meeting you during our PA meetings, organized activities  and more informally on campus. Please feel comfortable to reach out to me or any other PA Board  member at any time! Your input and engagement is critical to the success of our mission.

Wishing you all a wonderful school year!

Best regards,

Susan Panacek (Luke and Rebecca, 2029)
