Discover and Pursue Your Passions
Our dedicated and inspiring teachers are committed to our students’ intellectual, physical, social, and personal growth.
Our well-rounded Academics+ approach (academics, sports, arts and citizenship) nourishes the whole child.
Kids Who Code
Students start learning to code in Grade 3 at Rutgers Prep, and they might not stop until completing our Post-AP Advanced Software Design class in the Upper School. Giving them access to cutting edge tools and technologies keeps us at the forefront of tech education.
Our Alumni Lead With Confidence
"Any time I talk about my grade school and high school experience I always go back and say RPS trained me so extremely well for what I went on to do in life. When I got to college at Johns Hopkins, I realized Rutgers Prep really gave me the tools to succeed."
– Violette Renard Recinos '94, M.D.; Section Head, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Cleveland Clinic
Champion Spirit
With 22 state, sectional, and county championships won by our athletic teams in the last five years, our student athletes exceed expectations in and out of the classroom.
Start Curious. Stay Curious.
The early childhood and elementary years are the best time to lay a foundation for a lifelong love of learning through engaging academics, the encouragement of curiosity, and the celebration of creativity. Our expert Lower School teachers provide a hands-on, minds-on approach to learning from Pre-Kindergarten to Fifth Grade.
CSI Scientist and Other Middle School Experiences
Our Middle School curriculum is designed with self-discovery and self-awareness at its heart. Diverse course offerings and creative instruction allow students to confidently explore their interests, stepping into the shoes of a Broadcast Journalist, Rocket Engineer, Art Historian, and even Crime Scene Investigator. More importantly, they also step into the leadership roles that will set the stage for lifelong success.
Hard Work is True Joy
The Academic Acknowledgement Program allows Upper School students to choose an emphasis or concentration in subjects like Engineering, Science & Research, Humanities, and Visual & Performing Arts. Similar to choosing a major in college, this approach gives our students a head start on a college-level curriculum and is even recognized on their school transcript.
University Acceptances
Whether their goals are big, hairy and audacious, or quiet and personal, the results will amaze you. We are dedicated to helping students become their best selves.
